Chiku-Ya
Japanese Cuisine

Chiku-ya is a japanese restaurant located near Bondi Junction, Westfield. Here you could find  a typical Japanese food like Udon, Karage, Tempura, Don etc.

Karage is a marinated soy sauce, garlic or ginger covered with flour and deep fried until brown. It has a crispy, tender and savory taste. It usually come with sauces like teriyaki sauce or other sauces.

The most highly recommended dish is Karage Don. This Karage Don is served with rice and sauce. Even though it is very simple, this Karage Don is worth to try for.

This Karage has a smooth texture, hot and crisp on the outside, soft, sweet and tender on the inside. This is like the best Karage I've ever taste.

Another dish that I tried is a salmon steak. This salmon steak is served with salads and teriyaki sauce. It is pretty good and recommended.

One thing I do not like in this restaurant is their service. I came to the restaurant around 6.30p.m, ordered some food and I got the food around 7.45p.m. But it was all worth to wait the best karage don I ever taste.

Max Brenner Australia now has 12 Chocolate Bars in Sydney:

A Wonderful Introduction To The World Of Chocolate

Max Brenner is a firm favourite with the tourists who make sure to fit a Max Brenner Chocolate Bar into their list of Aussie icon “must visit” destinations. Since the first shop opening in 2000, more than 1.5 million customers visited!

They serve a variety of chocolated drinks and desserts, such as:

Hot chocolate served in the Hug Mug $5.50
choice of dark/milk/white

Choc-Banana Pizza $16.00
Pizza topped with pure melted chocolate, caramelised pecans,
banana & mini marshmallows

Tutti-Frutti Waffle (one/two) - $13.00/$17.50
warm belgian waffle drizzled with pure melted chocolate, served
with ice cream, fresh strawberries & bananas

The shop was pretty crowded, but there are tubes of chocolate running through and the whole place just smells divine :D! Just reading the descriptions of the menu items is irresistible. They make awesome chocolate dishes, like the chocolate pizza, chocolate fondu, not quite what you would choose for lunch or dinner, but the stuff sure does taste good!
I highly recommend the hot chocolate drink, it is hot chocolate served in a specially designed “hug mug”, apparently to be cupped with both hands almost as if you are hugging it, with its cuteness will certainly roused one's interest in chocolate especially when this hot chocolate certainly packs a punch on the palate!

They also have various chocolate products displayed on the wooden shelvesand so that you can buy some yummy treats to take home :)

Starting from $3 to $20

Chili chicken itself has a spicy korean taste. A first timer might need a lot of tissue to wipe their sweat and need a lot of water to naturalise the spiciness of this chili chicken. But mostly everyone who already tried this chili chicken wiling to go back even though they know it is very spicy.

Our Future Blog

Hi Everybody! Welcome to our Blog :)

The topic of our blog is FOOD, but more specifically, different types of food available in Sydney restaurants.

We decided, as a group, to blog about restaurants in Sydney because we realised that we all shared the same interest and love for eating and trying new food.

As a consequence, we came up with the idea of blogging about our personal experiences with food at various restaurants situated in Sydney. On that note, stay tuned for daily posts on our eating escapades!

In regards to the design and layout of our blog, we discussed about setting our background as a collection of images of food to reinforce our topic. We also wanted our page to exercise an aesthetically pleasing colour combination because we perceive food and eating as a vibrant and colourful aspect of life.

In response to the instructions for Assignment 2, we uploaded an image as our header instead of publishing a title. We chose to publish an image of Sydney Harbour, as we are holding our eating adventures within the boundaries of Sydney and it helps reinforce the title of our blog. Consequently, we situated the side bar of all 'About me' information, gadgets and links on the right hand side of the page to ensure easy access and detection. Finally, our blog posts will be positioned and will be employing a large proportion of the left hand side of the page, as this section is where the main content will be published.

We hope you enjoy reading our pending posts!
